    OK the service was as good as could be expected given that they are always short staffed. I have been there many times and the food is always good. The wait times for your food is the reason I gave a 4 star instead of 5 and the fact that the older woman at the cash register never smiles or replies to your greeting and generally seems unhappy. The place has always been clean inside and out. This last time we were there we waited over an hour for our food after we ordered and it seemed like everyone else also was waiting.

    My experience at the IHOP in Shelby, NC was great. The service and food was great. My grandson was happy with his food. Thanks for a great fellowship tonight.

    They have amazing waffles and french toast! My waffle was fluffy and soft! The french toast was on point! The wait is worth it. The food didn't take long to come out. I also recommend their sirloin tips. They are delicious! The workers are great and work so hard!
