Yea! We live in a real neighborhood with a place where you can grab a good beer or a good glass of wine and a bratwurst that's good too. This is not fine dining, but it's a damn good place to get a dog with a friend and have some conversation.
Grilled cheese on sour dough was excellent! I'm very picky and it was perfect. My husband enjoyed his bratwurst. It was on a pretzel. Great service, friendly, definitely going back soon!
There are so many things to LOVE about this place. They have a dessert that is homemade called “Pots de Creme”...it’s basically very rich very creamy chocolate pudding only richer and better. Now about the beer. You can try a small glass for $2. They have an electronic board that tells the alcohol content, IBU with a lot of different beers, some local, some Texan, some international. You can order various sizes but I love the small trial size! They have several wines on tap that are really good too! Now for the food: the bratwurst is a front runner! It’s served on a pretzel bun. SO good! The warm pretzel is served with pub cheese and I’m told has been deemed a winner by native Philly pretzel-heads. I’m not from Philadelphia but I’ve had them there and I’ve had them here and these are GREAT!!! The people that work here are very knowledgeable, friendly and happy. I’m excited that we have another great local choice in the neighborhood!!
Good craft beer selection with a heavy bent towards local breweries. Would like to see some more German offerings given the location theme. Food selection is decidedly German themed as well and quite good. Could use a bit more decor. Overall, a nice, friendly, locally owned neighborhood spot!
Great place for beer and cheer! Reuben sandwich was delicious. The food has a heavy German twist to it, a nice change from the normal bar food fair. Will return! Recommend you stop, too.
